Amy - inspired to poetry write at home

Following the start of our unit on poetry and our visit to Cartwright Hall to see poet Andrew McMillan and artist Sally Barker, Amy wrote some fabulous pieces of poetry at home.

Grassy hills, snowy mountains
All rather strange
A bit of rain here and there
All rather strange
Pink tigers
Blue elephants
All rather strange
And I mean it,
It is rather strange!

    This poem is brilliant! I love the repeated phrase "all rather strange" and the humour at the end is wonderful!

    Really glad that you wrote this in your own time, keep it up and encourage the rest of the poets in your class as well!
